The summit's International Media Centre is located in Strelna on the territory of the State Congress Centre. The IMC will be open for accredited journalists around-the-clock from 12.00, September 4 until 12.00, September 7. The IMC has free Wi-Fi access. All the IMC phones have free long-distance and international access.
The information desks located in the Exhibition Pavilion and Media Pavilion will provide all the necessary information on the IMC, Summit events and any assistance you may need.
For your convenience all the pavilions of the International Media Centre are equipped with information channel monitors.
All Summit events open to the press will be broadcast live on the information channel. The channel will also feature information on the Summit's Program, IMC operations, upcoming events and other data.
The Media Pavilion offers workstations with computers and wired Internet access (up to 100 Mbps) as well as all necessary office equipment. Some workstations also have faxes equipped with free long-distance and international lines, network printers and copiers. All workstations are equipped with 220V European power outlets.
To ensure the comfortable working conditions for all the accredited journalists the workstations in the Media Pavilion cannot be booked.
A special area for accredited photographers will be set up near the host photo agency's office in the Media Pavilion.
The Media Pavilion's Information desk is equipped with special photostands for browsing and downloading Summit photographs to USB storage devices or sending them via e-mail.
Personal computers also have a "File Storage" program which is a cloud service for fast file transfer (see Host Photo Agency).
The Media Pavilion also has two stand-up positions on the internal balcony. Reservation requests are handled by the Host Broadcaster.
Photo rental, support and repair desks are available in the Pavilion.
The Broadcasting Pavilion includes facilities for TV and radio broadcasters.
The IMC has 5 briefing rooms with up to 100 seats each.
All of the rooms are equipped with professional lighting and audio capability; equipment for simultaneous interpretation is also available.
From September 4 to September 6 the International Media Centre will host a number of press briefings of G20 Sherpas, as well as government officials, representatives of the business community and experts. The invited speakers will cover the key issues discussed at the G20 Summit during Q&A sessions.
Briefing schedules will be available from the Information Desks and will be announced on the information channel.
