Ksenia Yudaeva: The issue of stable growth is of the whole world’s concern

"We decided to focus on economic growth, which is currently the issue of concern for the whole economic world. In this sense, we put it right," said Chief of the Presidential Experts' Directorate and the Russian G20 Sherpa Ksenia Yudaeva.

Ms. Yudaeva stressed that the topic of investment and job creation is the central one: "You can talk of the unfolding change of the pattern of growth globally, but to achieve this you need investment, you need new jobs."

According to the Russian Sherpa, the decisions which are being prepared now, including those in the spheres of investment, financial markets, debts, will reinforce the implementation of policies, oriented to economic growth and stabilization of the financial sector. It will strengthen the G20 authority and its influence in the world.

Touching upon the role of the developing countries, Ksenia Yudaeva expressed an opinion that some of such G20 members are gaining experience that will allow them to become global actors and to promote their own global agenda.

"To some extent, the important role of the G20 nowadays pertains to creating conditions for all the members of the Forum to learn how to behave as a global actor, how to frame the agenda and the system of international institutions taking into account the new realities of the global economy," Ksenia Yudaeva stated.
