The Communique of the Y20 Russia 2013 Summit Adopted
On June, 19 young diplomats from the G20 countries continued debating on the proposals that will be included in the final document of the Y20 Russia 2013 Summit - the Communiqué, which is simultaneously an address of the youth to the G20 Leaders. The participants finalized clauses on sustainable development and reviewed the second set of questions referring to international finance.
After the presentation by the Russian delegation of the draft proposals elaborated during online talks at the Y20 web-site, participants split into four groups to discuss the following questions:
• international financial architecture reform;
• strengthening financial regulation;
• reforming international capital markets;
• regulating government borrowings and monetary policy.
Meanwhile, heads of delegations gathered to finalize and adopt the proposals on sustainable development agreed upon the day before. After the four working groups completed talks on the financial issues, delegations' leaders were to finalize and adopt the Communiqué. Their debates lasted for more than 10 hours. Late in the evening of June 19th a consensus was reached: the final version of the Address of the G20 youth was adopted.
On June 20 the document will be presented to the Russian G20 Sherpa Ksenia Yudayeva, and later - to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
